THE TRACEY FRAGMENTS will have its North American Premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival
The news is out!
Thanks to an early mail-out and a quick-to-act journo, the news leaked today in the Toronto Star that THE TRACEY FRAGMENTS (and other less important films like the Cannes Palme d'or winner) will screen at the 2007 Toronto International Film Festival.
We're SO excited to have our North American premiere in our hometown.

HAPPY CANADA DAY in the CZECH REPUBLIC
Bruce is currently in Germany and we hope to have an update on the tour from Hamburg shortly. In the meantime, just a reminder that Bruce McDonald and Ellen Page will present THE TRACEY FRAGMENTS at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival on July 1st.
Here is the schedule and write up from the festival!
Film screenings:
335 - 1.7., 19:00, Congress Hall - Thermal
654 - 4.7., 16:30, Cinema C - Thermal
855 - 6.7., 19:00, Cinema C - Thermal
The Tracey Fragments | The Tracey Fragments
Director: Bruce McDonald
Canada, 2006, 80 min
The juxtaposition of a recurring horse motif and the central song of the film being “Land” from rock singer Patti Smith’s album Horses in the new film by Canadian experimenter Bruce McDonald, is no coincidence. Ellen Page gives a flat-out performance as a 15-year-old girl who has lost her little brother and sets out on a desperate journey to find both him and her own conscience and way of thinking. The film had its world premiere at the IFF in Berlin.
