Vancouver Film Critics Circle Awards - Ellen Page nominated!

Yesterday the Vancouver Film Critics Circle Awards nominations were announced. Ellen Page was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Canadian Film for The Tracey Fragments! and also best Actress in an International Film for Juno. CONGRATULATIONS again Ellen!

Ellen Page at the Genies - coming soon!

Last night we had a FANTASTIC (sold out!) screening of The Tracey Fragments in Toronto at the Cinemateque Ontario as part of Canada's Top Ten screening series.

Canada's Top Ten

The Tracey Fragments was today chosen as one of Canada's Top Ten Films of 2007

Director Bruce McDonald, Actor Julian Richings, Editors Jeremy Munce, Gareth Scales and Matt Hannam as well as Executive Producer Paul Barkin and Producer Sarah Timmins were in attendance at the announcements.

Other top ten films include Eastern Promises (David Cronenberg), L’âge Des Ténèbres (Denys Arcand) and My Winnipeg (Guy Maddin)

Ellen Page to win Breakthrough Actress at Hollywood Awards

On Monday October 22, Ellen Page will be honoured as Breakthrough Actress at the Hollywood Awards for her role in the Jason Reitman comedy Juno.

Other honorees of the awards (part of the Hollywood Film Festival include Ben Affleck, Casey Affleck, Brad Bird, Diablo Cody, Jennifer Connelly, Marion Cotillard, Scott Farrar, Dante Ferretti, Marc Forster, Richard Gere, Stephen Goldblatt, Christopher Hampton, Joe Hutshing, Mark Isham, John Travolta, Neil Meron and Craig Zadan, and the cast of “Hairspray,” which receives the ensemble award

The Tracey Fragments Wins Best Canadian Feature Film at Atlantic Film Festival, Ellen Page Best Actress!

The Tracey Fragments has picked up the prize for Best Canadian Feature Film at the Atlantic Film Festival in Halifax on Friday September 21, 2007.

Ellen Page was awarded Best Canadian Actress for her intense performance as Tracey Berkowitz.

Director Bruce McDonald, Ellen Page and Executive Producer Paul Barkin were on hand to accept the prizes, ahead of the film’s first public screening at the festival the same evening.
